FloCat - Wiring/Configuration

Tools required:

  • Needle nose pliers

  • Wire strippers

  • Wrench

  • Eyeglass screwdriver or micro screwdriver

Installation Materials:

  • 1 x Wildeye flying-lead cable (part# ACC-CAB-M12-M-5)

  • 1 x Wildeye datalogger containing a C (Counter) channel. Eg WILD-M-R-NACS-NACS

Installation Instructions:

  1. Using wire strippers, strip back the ACC-CAB-M12-M-5 cable until only the black and white wires are exposed.

  2. Loosen the gland nut at the bottom of the meter face.

  3. Slide the WILD-CAB-M12-M-5 through the gland nut, and tighten.

  4. Wire the black and white wire in:

    • Using black wire for “-”

    • Using the white wire for “+”

Programming Instructions:

  1. From the FloCat main screen, press the image-20240520-014325.png button.

  2. A screen will prompt you for a password. Enter the password provided; if unknown, try 04121.

    • To enter the password: After getting into the login screen, press the image-20240520-014336.png button to the digit you want to enter, and then press either image-20240520-014355.png button to reach the desired digit. Continue until all digits have been set, and press image-20240520-014408.png
      If a correct password is entered, the parameter setting menu will be displayed and you will be able to navigate the menu on the next page and perform programming tasks. Otherwise, you will be brought back to the main interface.

  3. The beginning screen should indicate “Flow Span”.

  4. Press image-20240520-014425.png to get to “Flow unit”.

  5. Use the image-20240520-014436.png to select “Gal/M”.

  6. Press image-20240520-014451.png to confirm.

  7. Press image-20240520-014458.png until you come back to the “Flow Span”.

  8. Press image-20240520-014506.png twice. The screen should indicate “Pulse Scale”.

  9. When you reach that option, press image-20240520-014516.png .

  10. Use the image-20240520-014543.png to select a pulse scale of “1” (which means 1 pulse equals 1 total unit).

  11. Press image-20240520-014553.png to confirm.

  12. Press image-20240520-014624.png until you come back to the “Pulse Scale”.

  13. Press image-20240520-014643.png once, it’ll say “Total Unit”.

  14. Use the image-20240520-014659.png to select “Gal”.

  15. Exit out of the programming screen.
