The install tab is available in the bottom tab menu. This tab will list all available Wildeye's that your login has access to.

To find the Wildeye that is attached to the Water Meter that you wish to take a reading for you can either:

  1. Type in the serial number or Site name in the search box.

  1. Select the QR Code scan icon to the left of the search box and scan the QR Code located on the Wildeye device attached to your meter.

  1. Select the Sort button to the right of the search box and sort by "Distance From Me". This will use the GPS of you phone to sort the WIldeye devices by distance from your phone. Note that this requires a GPS to have been accurately set when the Wildeye device was installed.

Step 3. Find your Water Meter in the Sensors Tab

Once you have found your Wildeye device in Step 2, you will arrive at the Site page that gives more detail on the selected Wildeye device.

The Map at the top of the page will confirm if you have the correct location. You can expand the map with the expand icon in the top right of the map. This will show the location of the device as a marker on the map and also your current location as a blue dot. You can get driving directions from this page if you select the device in advance.

Scroll through the list of Sensors in the Sensors tab until you find the Water Meter that you wish to take a meter reading for.

This Sensor card will have details on the sensor cable that the meter is connected to and contains a big blue "Meter Reading +" button.

Press this button to take a meter reading.

Step 4. Enter meter reading

Press the "Enter Reading" button to enter the meter reading that you see on the water meter. This should have been configured at the time of installation to have the correct Unit of Measure for the specific water meter.

If you are at the meter and taking a current meter reading then the "Time of Reading" can be left as the default of the current time. If you are entering the reading at a later date (eg. someone has sent you a picture of the meter and didn't use the app) then you can select the specific time the meter reading was taken.

It is highly recommended to take a photo of the meter reading by pressing the camera icon next to "Optional Photo"

This will ensure later validation if there was a data entry error when entering the meter reading. Please ensure that the meter reading is in focus in this photo.
