Product Description | ACC-EXP-D Wildeye expander for connecting to Davis weather instruments (Sun, Rain, Wind). Includes expander module together with the Davis "White box" junction box. IMPORTANT: Must be connected to a NCCS cable on a Wildeye. (see troubleshooting guide below) ACC-EXP-D-R Same as ACC-EXP-D, but supplied without a Davis white junction box. Problem | What to check |
I am seeing Wind Speed data but rain tips from the Rain Bucket are not registering |

I am seeing Windspeed and rain data but no Wind Direction or Solar Radiation. | Check the address of the ACC-EXP-D. The Wildeye uses SDI12 to communicate with the Wind Direction and Solar Radiation sensor. If the address is not configured correctly then the readings of these sensors will result in a timeout. NOTE: Prior to 2024, ACC-EXP-D expanders were defaulted to address 't'. Since 2024, ACC-EXP-D Expanders were delivered with a Wildeye unique address (4 character address) printed on the expander. Use the 'add sensor' feature of the app when setting up new ACC-EXP-D expanders to scan the barcode and automatically set the address at setup. If you have left site and forgot to note down the address then you can perform an SDI-12 SCAN to find the correct address. |
