Add & Edit Graph Series

Note: These features can only be accessed by Client Admin users. Your Wildeye devices may be managed by a third party as a service.

You can add a Series to a graph by clicking on the   icon in the graph legend. You can edit an existing series by clicking on the  icon.

This will bring up the Add / Edit Series settings page.

Site

This is the Site that contains the Input that you wish to graph. This will default to the current site, but if your login has access to other sites then it is possible to graph an input from different sites on the same graph.

Input

This section displays all of the inputs on the selected sites that can be graphed. The drop down list provides all the details about each Input that might help you find the Input you are looking for. Inputs that are set to log will appear at the top because these are probably the inputs that you want to graph. 

Input Unit

This is the Unit of Measure of the underlying Input. Usually this will be configured at the time of setting up the Input through the Add Sensor function. 

Display Unit

You can convert the unit of measure from the Input Unit to a different display unit. If you don't select anything then it will default to the Input unit. Popular conversion choices will appear in the list, or you can start typing for other units.

Series Name

This is the name that you would like to appear for the series on the graph. You can type #inputname to automatically substitute the hashTag for the Input Name selected in Input Settings. (If you change the underlying Input Name, then the Series Name will automatically change). You can also use the hastag #sitename to automatically substitute for Site Name.

Series Type

Select the type of series (eg. Line Graph or Bar Graph) from the series type options. Note that if you select a Bar type of graph then you will likely also want to group the data together into statistical aggregations. eg. You might want a bar chart showing daily totals when the underlying data is in 15 minute intervals.

Multiplier

Apply a multiplier to the value displayed on the graph. (multiply by specified value)

Offset

Apply an offset to the value displayed to the graph. (add specified value - can be negative)

Lock Secondary X Axis

If you have 2 data series, then you can lock the time of the second series so that you can compare different time periods on the same graph, Note that you can have 2 series graphing the same Input data to compare time periods of the same data,

Data Post Process

Accumulate - Adds each data point to the previous data point to accumulate data over time.

Difference - Display the difference between each data point.

Display Properties

Line Style

Change the thickness of lines or make them dotted lines.

Series Color

Change the colour of the series.

Semi Transparent Colour

If you have a bar chart and a line chart then you may like to make the bar colour semi transparent so that you can still make out the line.

Show Markers

Put dots on the line graph for each data point.

Statistics Section

Function - Aggregate Data

This section is generally used when you have a bar chart series type. This will allow you to aggregate data using a statistical function. eg. to display a daily total you would select "Sum" as the function and "day" as the time period. It is possible to start your day from a sepcific time. eg. 9am for daily rain totals. The default is midnight.

Moving Windows

Allows you apply a statistical function to a moving window of data. eg. you could display the average of the last 30 values.

Y Axis Options:

Y Axis Label

Either make the Y axis automatic based on the display unit, or create a custom override.

Y Axis Range

Auto, Auto reversed, custom , shared.

By default, the Y axis numbering will be automatic, based on the data is has to show. 

To fix the values, you can create a custom Y axis by selecting custom and entering a comma separated list of values to display.

You can also share the Y axis with another series.
