Watermark Soil Tension Monitoring
Real-time Data from Watermark Soil Tension Sensors for Seasonal & Annual Crops
The Wildeye Watermark Telemetry Retrofit solution allows the renowned Wildeye telemetry and software platform to attach to Watermark soil tension sensors. For growers already familiar with reading watermark data & graphs, this Wildeye package offers an ideal low-cost solution for irrigators to view watermark data directly on the Wildeye phone app or desktop login. The rugged Wildeye hardware is small and low profile and well suited to sit below the crop canopy and below the height of most machinery. The package can also be supplied with Watermark sensors pre-wired.
Connectivity is managed by the award-winning Wildeye 4G IoT telemetry device. Data is accessible through the Wildeye portal from where it can be viewed and exported. Scroll down to view complete specifications.

InstallationInstallation requires 4G IoT signal is available at site, and the Wildeye phone app must be downloaded and used to capture data during the installation. Wildeye’s network of staff and distribution partners are experienced soil scientists and agronomists, with a fixation on technology to help farmers, and unmatched collective soil moisture probe installation experience. Guidelines for retrofit to installed Watermark sensors are here, installation guide for Watermarks are here, and additional training can be provided to internal staff. |
Watermark's tension sensors are recommended only for crops with generally wetted soil conditions, to remove risk of drying soil creating a disconnection void with the sensor. Applications:
ConnectivityWeb-connectivity uses open-standard Cat-M1 or NB-IoT on 4G cellular networks. Wildeye packages utilize telco-delivered cellular networks to avoid reliance on first-generation radio networks and technologies that are delivered and maintained by small businesses.
