Output Power
Introduction
Loggers might have a switched and/or a permanent output power supply to power external sensors. These power supplies have the following specifications.
Switched power output (SPO)
The SPO is switched on shortly before and during a log. The on period before a log is specified by each input's configuration.
Parameter | Value | Comment |
---|---|---|
Voltage | 15V DC ± 0.5V | Before September 2024, 12V was the default |
Max Current | 150 mA | 25% margin for component variations |
Operating mode | Switched | Controlled by logger, turned on when scheduled to take sensor reading |
Continuous power output (CPO)
CPO is available on certain logger models - eg WILD-M-R-NCCS5-NAS
Parameter | Value | Comment |
---|---|---|
Voltage | 5V DC | |
Max Current | 25 mA | @ 0.2 V dropout |
50 mA | @ 0.4 - 0.7 V dropout | |
Operating mode | Permanently on | The CPO is on continuously. |
