External Power Supply Options (incl Solar Panels)
Wildeye models with the -R Power Option (Rechargeable), can accept 8-24V DC power sources, including being powered directly from a “12V” solar panel.
The power source is connected to the Wildeye M8 Power Plug, pinout details shown below.

The -R "Rechargeable" Wildeye has an internal rechargeable battery that functions as a backup in cases where the external power source cuts out due to a fault, or when there is no sunlight in the case of a solar panel.
The internal rechargeable battery is designed to maintain Wildeye operation without power for weeks in typical applications. In some more power intensive applications such as control, an inline battery pack is recommended to supplement the internal backup battery.
